Doina is a passionate educator with a background in mathematics, business, and project management. She founded the LOGIMIX afterschool program to help students excel in math and chess, focusing on logical reasoning skills. As a former chess player and business consultant, she brings a wealth of experience to her teaching. Doina enjoys playing chess, solving puzzles, reading about psychology and leadership, and engaging in outdoor activities. Alongside her husband, who oversees the IT side, she collaborates with a team of experienced teachers to provide quality education in math, physics, and chemistry, preparing students for university and beyond.

Mariana, a Chemical Engineering graduate from Romania, transitioned to teaching after a successful 25-year career in the chemical industry. She now teaches math at Pickering High School in Ontario, Canada, specializing in academic and gifted programs. Actively involved in organizing math contests and assessing engineering applications at the University of Toronto, she aims to better prepare students for higher education. Mariana’s diverse interests include photography, taiko drumming, philosophy, and jazz. She actively supports Romanian immigrants settling in Canada and has two children.

Homa holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Science and Research University of Tehran, Iran, with over 17 years of teaching experience. During her tenure at the University of Isfahan, she supervised numerous graduate students and fostered collaborative relationships with undergraduates. In Canada, she pursued a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Ryerson University and has been teaching Math courses since 2014, specializing in grades 9-12 curriculum. Diligent and patient, she is dedicated to helping others succeed. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, exercising, watching TV, and spending time with her daughter.

Dragos, an experienced high school teacher in Toronto, instructs Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, organizing contests such as COMC and Euclid at his prestigious private school. With an M.Sc. from the University of Bucharest, he has excelled in teaching since 2010, previously at Michael the Brave High School in Bucharest. Since 2000, he’s taught various levels of Math, Physics, and Chemistry in both French and English, focusing on instilling appreciation and understanding of these subjects. Beyond teaching, Dragos enjoys martial arts, bridge, traveling, language learning, and connecting with diverse cultures.

Monica, originally from Romania, holds a degree in Physics from Babes-Bolyai University. She transitioned from high school teaching to university instruction, specializing in Math and Physics at Seneca College and Elite Educational Institute in Canada. With a background in Biophysics and Environmental Physics, including collaborative projects with the University of Ghent, Belgium, she brings a diverse perspective to her teaching. Monica actively participates in professional development courses and is involved in mentoring young facilitators. Outside of teaching, she volunteers at her child’s school and previously managed the Romanian Children’s Choir. Her personal interests include hiking, tennis, gardening, and reading.

Shannon, with a Degree in English Language and Literature from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Professional Studies from Niagara University, transitioned from Early Childhood Education to teaching Grade 1 at Parkinson Centennial Public School. She instructs students in Literacy, Math, Social Studies, Music, and Dance, actively participating in various school programs including Maker Space, fundraising campaigns, and Safe Schools Initiative. Outside of teaching, Shannon manages a 100-acre farm, raising crops and cattle while also raising her four children. She enjoys running and participates in 5Km and 10Km races annually.

Natalie, a certified Ontario teacher since 2012, holds degrees in Arts and Education from Laurentian University. Fluent in French, she teaches French immersion for Grades 3–6 in Guelph, Ontario, leveraging her experience in online teaching to enhance learning strategies. With a focus on interactive activities, Natalie cultivates French speech and vocabulary skills using online games, reading experiences, and listening activities. She also enjoys teaching Science to Grades 5 and 6, aiming to instill her passion for the subject in her students. Beyond teaching, Natalie enjoys walking her dog, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Gurpreet, holding a Ph.D. in Economics and Business from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India, chose teaching over corporate opportunities, impacting over 4000 graduate and master’s students. In Canada, she continues her passion for teaching at BITTS International Career College, aiming to inspire young scientists. Her dedication and listening skills reflect in her work, fostering a love for science among her students. Gurpreet is a proud mother and enjoys traveling, hiking, swimming, reading, and spending time with loved ones outside of her career.

Dorel, holding a degree in Mechanical Engineering from "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi, Romania, balances university teaching with tutoring for grade 5–8 students and high school students in Physics and Mathematics. Passionate about science and education, he aims to help students achieve their full potential. Beyond teaching, Dorel enjoys traveling, fishing, hiking, reading, watching Sci-Fi movies, and playing chess and logical games. He is a proud parent to a daughter who graduated from the University of Toronto and shares his home with a beautiful Birman cat.

Elena, with a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from "Babes-Bolyai" University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, transitioned from elementary school math teaching to a career in computer programming after immigrating to Canada in 1996. Passionate about education, she dedicated herself to her son’s mathematics education, guiding him to excel in math contests and school achievements. Elena emphasizes practice and dedication in preparing students for educational challenges. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and gardening, as well as unwinding at the yoga studio to stay active and healthy.

Thuvaa is currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics for Education at York University, Toronto. With five years of tutoring experience for Grades 1–9, she’s taught Mathematics, English, and Science. Drawing from her own experience as an e-class student, she aims to enhance her students’ learning experience at Logimix through collaborative discussions, interactive resources, and personalized repetition of topics. Thuvaa is an enthusiastic educator eager to share knowledge and build connections with her students. Outside of teaching, she enjoys baking, meditating, and reading.

Cristian holds an Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, recognized as a B.Sc. in Electronics by the University of Toronto Comparative Education in 2000. Transitioning from the semiconductor industry to Information Technology, he gained expertise in C++ programming, relational databases, and web development. With Oracle Database certification, he worked as an Analyst Programmer and Network Administrator for 7 years in Romania before immigrating to Canada. Currently a Sr. Analyst Programmer in Toronto, he specializes in developing and maintaining enterprise software modules. Beyond work, Cristian enjoys astronomy, quantum physics, psychology, personal development, yoga, puzzles, and jokes, alongside spending time with family and friends.
