Teach the grade 4 curriculum to 1 student, assessing student’s needs. Lessons and coursework will meet the expectations of the four strands in the curriculum to enable students to understand, respond to, create, and comprehend a range of literary, informational, and media texts (Ontario Curriculum). Student will receive the same activities as Regular; however, Private differs in the following:

• Student will engage in oral language through 1:1 reading and discussions, such as brainstorming topic knowledge, strategies to solve writing errors, presenting ideas, and discussing individual work.
• Customized areas of need and focus: This will include a variety of learning opportunities such as 1:1 oral activities, reading level assessment, and writing activities to target achieved progress. The individually tailored program assesses learning gaps and target goals and works to achieve/exceed grade-level expectations.
